Every minute anew

A poetic snapshot from an energy work session.

Ever wondered what goes through a practitioner’s mind during an energy healing session with a client? For the first time the other day, the moment started flowing through my mind as poetry. I didn’t think about it – the words just poured in while I was working. I didn’t interrupt the session to write, but I gathered what I remembered onto the page right after.

Here it is.

***

Seconds trickle away
while the stormy winds raging outside
mingle with the playlist’s piano notes
gliding across the room.

My right palm placed softly
on the sole of my client’s foot,
my left on their ankle,
I align with my center again.

Their foot muscles twitch.
A release.

A subtle current of energy
tickles my palms from within.

More seconds flow
like warm water over silence.
My client’s breath slows down.

I notice them falling asleep.
They are dropping into deeper relaxation
while their body and subconscious
weave the incoming energy
offered through my hands.

My whole system keeps settling
into a wide, peaceful state
- a small stone that floats down
into oceanic depths.

There is nothing else
but me standing here,
in presence with this person,
offering something universal
that they trust me to help reawaken in them.

Thoughts dissolve
as my whole attention rests
on making myself available
every minute anew
to let this energy flow through.

The music meanders.
I know this playlist:
I play it often and yet
it feels different every session,
as if each new moment tainted it
with a hush of its own unique colors.

I stand here,
humbly witnessing
how time falls away
to make room for this process.
How space softens
for cells and information
to rearrange in my client’s body,
as we work together towards coherence.

When I notice the energy flow slowing down,
I understand: « complete for now ».
I carefully pull my hands back
and move to work on a different part.

Winds are blowing,
my client is breathing,
music keeps playing.
Together we continue
to unravel time and space
as a new congruence emerges.
